Where to Play Seven Card Stud Poker

Playing 7 Card Stud Poker – Online Casinos

Seven Card Stud Poker can be played in most online casinos, which is handy if you don’t happen to live near a real casino! Internet 7 Card Stud Poker in online casinos is also ideal for those who like to play poker in the comfort of their own home.

Both high and hi-lo 7 card Stud Poker are commonplace in online casinos, and you can usually play for free as well as for money – the choice is yours. Playing for free has its advantages. It enables you to get some practice in before gambling any money, and also lets you carry on playing if you do spend your budget.

Some online casinos often require you to download poker software if you want to play for money. Some sites offer free games that do not need any downloads.

Playing 7 Card Stud – Real Casinos

Most major UK cities have a real casino where you can go and play Seven Card Stud Poker.

Playing a Seven Card Stud Poker game in a real casino is fundamentally different to playing online poker. Although the rules are basically the same, there are a few points that you should remember regarding casino etiquette. For example:

  • Don’t swear, for example, or verbally abuse another poker player or the dealer.
  • It's not fun for the other Seven Card Stud Poker players if you play too slow. Making them wait too long for you to make a decision is bad form.
  • Don’t place any bets before the winnings have been paid out from the last 7 Card Stud Poker game, or touch the cards until the dealer has said you can do so.
  • Stack poker chips neatly. If you throw them randomly into the middle other poker players will find it hard to see how much you have bet.
  • String betting – where a Seven Card Stud Poker player toys with how many poker chips he’s going to bet by picking up different amounts – again, is poor poker etiquette. Only pick up the amount of poker chips you fully intend to bet.
  • Whether you’re in the poker hand or not, it’s never appropriate to comment on yours, or anyone else’s, cards. You don’t want to give unfair advice to inexperienced 7 Card Stud Poker players.
  • Finally, try and keep your emotions in check. It’s bad form to complain or get angry when you are losing, now matter how frustrated you may feel.
