Here are some of the key events in Victor Chandler’s history:

1946: The Victor Chandler Group was formed by Victor Chandler Senior. Victor Chandler Senior was responsible for the building of the famous Walthamstow Greyhound Racing Stadium.

1975: This was a key year in the history of Victor Chandler. By now, Victor Chandler had forty betting shops throughout the UK. Victor Chandler Senior died in this year and his grandson, also called Victor Chandler, took over the business. Since then he has sold a number of the original betting shops and focused on developing the telephone betting and online betting operations.

1999: The Victor Chandler Group moved its head office operations from London to Gibraltar and introduced tax-free betting for its international clients.

2004: A year of important developments in the history of Victor Chandler. It launched its mobile telephone betting service, VictorMobile, and claiming to be the first betting company to offer a full mobile, java-based, betting service. Victor Chandler also announced the launch of a new high-profile land casino poker tournament, The Victor Poker Cup, in association with casino operators London Clubs International.
